"I am a local artist of Texas's
Lake Livingston area and Colorado's Pikes Peak area. The Big Island of Hawai'i was also my home
for many years. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I spent much of my childhood covering
myself and the things around me with paint. I have a passion for art that runs through my body and spirit.
Art IS my meditation, and draws me to my core. I believe art can give expression, strength, and freedom
to the viewer.
Many different types of mediums appeal to me. Colored, graphite, and charcoal pencils when I'm on
the go; watercolors on rainy days; sculpture to release tension; pen and ink when I am unable to devote constant time to my
work; and oils when I need more time for an expression to develop. Throughout the years I have studied
photography, jewelry craftsmanship, enameling, and printmaking as well. In the future, I hope to learn
how to work with glass and bronze.
Nature, especially animals, is a prominent theme within my work.
I have a lot of interest in the traditional totems that animals embody. Trees are also quite a favorite
subject of mine, representing a life and growth. As we are all constantly changing and growing; my art
represents postcards along my personal journey in life.
Thank you so much for stopping
by my page, I hope you found something that speaks to you. "
